Amir Khajepour received his PhD in 1996 from the University of Waterloo where he currently is Professor of the Department of Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering and the Canada Research Chair in Mechatronic Vehicle Systems. He also serves as the Executive Director of the Waterloo Center for Automotive Research (WatCAR). His area of research is in systems modeling and control of dynamic systems and has developed an extensive research program in several multidisciplinary areas. His research has resulted in several patents, technology transfers, and over 250 journal and conference publications including 3 books and 6 book chapters. He is a recipient of three best paper awards, a fellow of the Canadian Society of Mechanical Engineering, and is an Associate Editor of the International Journal of Vehicle Autonomous Systems and International Journal of Powertrain.
